Oh Mercy Announce New Album And US Record Deal

It’s been just over a year since Oh Mercy released their acclaimed sophomore record Great Barrier Grief, so we’re thrilled to announce that the hardworking Melbourne band will be turning out their third album Deep Heat on the 24th of August this year. We are also thrilled to hear that the band have signed to American indie label Bad Cop Bad Cop, a fantastic feat that’s not entirely surprising considering how well-received Oh Mercy has been during several US visits.

Michael Nieves of Bad Cop Bad Cop said, “We have long admired their fantastic music, and Alexander [Gow] and the band have written and recorded their strongest and most infectious songs to date. Oh Mercy is a career artist, and we are thrilled to be partnering with them on the release of Deep Heat.”

High praise that ought to have fans excited about the album which was produced by Aus music legend Burke Reid. Oh Mercy’s singer/guitarist Alexander Gow says Deep Heat may not be what long time fans of the band are expecting. Listen to the album teaser featuring the title track, a country-tinged bluesy stomper.
