New Tracks: Seekae, Klaxons, Cassius

When I walked through a wind tunnel on the way to work rolled in ill-fitting clothes and holding a giant paper cup of coffee I faced facts that I looked like the neighbourhood bum and not Mary-Kate Olsen, but when the caffeine got into my bloodstream and I listen to some nice new tunes the day took an upward turn. If you are suffering symptoms of Post-Weekend Blues here’s a selection of medicinal tracks that might help ease your pain from Seekae, Klaxons, Cassius and the latest copyright infringement case Scrillionaire who mixes up Kanye West with a classic track from The Cars.

SEEKAE – BLOOD BANK

KLAXONS – SAME SPACE
First of two new Klaxons tracks off ‘Surfing The Void’ which is due out 23 August.

CASSIUS – I LOVE YOU SO
The dynamic duo of French house, Philippe Zdar and Boom Bass, are releasing a new LP this year. Here’s the first single they’ve produced under the Cassius moniker since last year’s “Youth, Speed, Trouble, Cigarettes”. The new record will be their first to be released by iconic electro label Ed Banger Records.

SCRILLIONAIRE – LET THE GOOD TIMES TOUCH THE SKY (The Cars + Kanye West & Lupe Fiasco)
The mash-up is kind of passe – and mostly looked upon with scorn these days, but don’t you ever wonder what the bastard child of Ke$ha and Will Smith would sound like? Or, in this case, what would happen if you inseminated a contemporary rap super power with a seminal new wave outfit?…
