Melbourne Zoo‘s annual lineup of Zoo Twilights gigs among the animals has dropped for the upcoming long, sticky summer nights, and it’s bloody stacked with a heap of Aussie and international acts that are sure to get you boogieing next to the buffalo, grooving with the giraffes, partying with the penguins…you get the idea.

From January 25 to March 9, Melbourne’s green lawns of the zoo will be playing host to acts like The Internet, Hanson, Client Liaison, Vera Blue, Cat Power, Marlon Williams, Rufus Wainwright, and king of the horses himself, Daryl Braithwaite.
Plus there’s a yet-to-be-announced performance on the very last night (March 9) so we’re 100% keeping an eye on who tf THAT could be. My pick? I’m going to go out there and say it’s…They Might Be Giants. They’re here then, right? WAIT NO I want it to be Eminem. He’s over in New Zealand at the start of March so that’s heaps doable. Please, let Eminem ferociously rap while a bunch of koalas look bored and tired next to him. I need this to happen.
One again, Zoo Twilights will be raising money for Zoos Victoria‘s ongoing work to fight wildlife extinctions, and all proceeds from ticket sales will be going toward the work and research that the state’s teams undertake to prevent the decline of native Aussie wildlife.
