In between counting his ARIAs and buying luxurious wig coats, Empire Of The Sun frontman Luke Steele is hard at work on a new Sleepy Jackson album. Speaking with Faster Louder the enigmatic songwriter said a followup to 2006’s “Personality – One Was A Spider, One Was A Bird” was currently in the works.
“I think I’ve pretty much written a lot of the new album, but funnily enough, the record company doesn’t seem too interested at the moment. That’s okay for me, though, buys me a bit of time for the moment. (The album should be out) definitely in the next decade but not in the next 12 months – I’d want to, but I don’t think so, no” Steele explained.
Mark it in your diaries Sleepy Jackson fans! A new album is set to drop in the 108 month period between 2011 and 2020 (if the record label likes it).
