Hey everyone. We’ve got some exciting news to share with you guys about an initiative we’ve been pulling together for the past few months and now it’s finally happening! Windows 8 has teamed up with Pedestrian to launch Pedestrian Coach, a world-first twist on the online education revolution. We like to call it ‘edu-tainment’ because how good’s wordplay?
Pedestrian Coach will put you face to face with the world’s most accomplished creatives and entrepreneurs in a series of live online classes. We’ve got an amazing lineup of talent including designer Sue-Ann San of fashion label StyleStalker discussing the creative process behind her favourite pieces, the founders of Airtasker (online outsourcing marketplace) on how to raise funding for your start-up, and Si Philby of groundbreaking experiential agency the projects* gabbing on the magic of developing, pitching and implementing great ideas.
We’ve also partnered with Microsoft to line up a series of live events that will take place across Australia called Future Sessions inspired by Windows 8. Eight of these ‘edu-tainment’ (ding!) events will take place at Microsoft Tech Lounges located on university campuses nationwide and will feature Q & As, panel discussions and interactive sessions. Highlights include: “How to get a Break and Survive in the Music Industry” and an ‘Elevator Pitch’ session where young start-ups (like you!) are invited to join us on stage and pitch their products for a chance to win $1,000 and coverage across the Pedestrian site.
