We know old mate Harley Straten is working on his highly-anticipated follow up album to his debut; apart from fleeting festival appearances this year and releasing Some Minds, though, Flerm has been on the DL.

Overnight, Flume posted news of what’s likely to be the best indication of his new album yet, announcing his first appearance on BBC Radio 1‘s iconic Essential Mix program – joining the alumni of literally anyone who’s anyone in the industry – next weekend.

YES. MATE.

On the status of his upcoming album, Flume told Triple J in July:

” I’ve definitely had a lot of pressure from a lot of people to just push it along and get it done. But I just want to make sure it’s right…I don’t feel like I need to rush it, I just want to put it out when it’s ready.”

Flume’s due back on home soil next year for Laneway
