Ever since their tracks started wandering out to blogs last year, there’s been a deafening buzz around Sydney’s Cassette Kids. People took notice too it would seem, as the band are readying their debut album, to be released later in the year on, uh, Sony BMG.
Yep, one of the biggest players in the country snapped them up, shoved them in a studio with Jono Ma of Lost Valentinos/Knife Machine fame and put them to work. The results are promising too, with the band’s new songs on MySpace turning out to be total winners and reinforcing the band’s stylish mix of punk rock with a dash of disco.
Expect to see a lot of these four before too long.
