Bluejuice Line Up Aussie All-Stars Cast for Third Album

Sydney band Bluejuice‘s third album will include contributions from the best of Australian music, including Sparkadia, The Presets and Papa Vs Pretty.

Frontman Jake Stone told Pedestrian this week that the as-yet untitled new LP “really sounds like a studio album this time around”, as the band brought their many friends both old and new into the studio, primarily to shred guitars across the eleven finalised tracks. Alex Burnett and Henry Eastham from Sparkadia, as well as Papa Vs Pretty‘s lead man Thomas Rawle will all feature with their six-strings, while Julian Hamilton of The Presets co-wrote the song ‘On My Own.’

The band have also decided to keep things in the family, with both of Jake’s sisters (singer-songwriter Elana Stone and renowned actress Yael Stone) dropping by to sing backing vocals, while drummer James Hauptmann taps his virtuoso jazz siblings Ben and Zoe, who play guitar and bass respectively. All in all, we’re pretty unimpressed that we weren’t invited to submit handclaps or something.

Bluejuice play this year’s Splendour In the Grass, and we can win you tickets to check them out in all their collaborative glory. The first single from the new album should be out later this year.
