Bjork’s most iconic visual moments belong to Spike Jonze’s grandstanding “It’s Oh So Quiet”, the amorous androids in Chris Cunningham’s “All Is Full Of Love” and a swan that doubled as a dress. The Icelandic songstress’ most prolific visual collaborator however, is French Auteur Michel Gondry who has Directed no less than seven of Bjork’s music videos over the last 17 years. Bookended by 1993’s “Human Behaviour” and 2007’s “Declare Independence”, reports indicate that the didi-diva and visual maverick will continue their audio/visual love-in after Gondry recently alluded to a mysterious new project.
Aside from unheralded music videos and “The Green Hornet” EW reports that “Gondry is also planning a separate top-secret project with frequent collaborator Bjork. (“It’s very undefined, so it’s hard to give more precision.”)”
Obviously not one iota of meaning can be gleaned from this statement but it does give us an excuse to post Bjork’s magical Gondry-Directed music videos. All. Seven. Of. Them. Enjoy!
