According to Wall St Journal, Apple is thinking about buying Jay-Z‘s music streaming service, Tidal.
The company, which Jay-Z bought in 2015, has strong ties to and exclusive rights with artists such as Kanye West, Beyoncé and Madonna, so Apple are allegedly wanting to bolster their Apple Music service with these connections.
While a spokesperson denied Tidal execs had met with Apple, an inside source for WSJ said that talks between the two companies are ongoing. But nothing is concrete, and the talks may not result in a deal.
