According to a study conducted by scientists at the University of North Carolina, working out too much can have a significant impact on a man’s desire to get jiggy with it.

The study, which involved a survey of over a thousand blokes, concluded that exposure to higher levels of chronic intense and greater durations of endurance training on a regular basis is significantly associated with a decreased libido in a significant percentage of men.

In the survey, the men were asked about their training habits, how often they thought about sex and how often they actually did the dirty.

Even after taking age and other significant variables into account, researchers found that both training intensity and duration were found to have inverse relationships with libido.

In short, the less time fellas spent pumping in the gym, the more time they spent pumping between the sheets.

In fact, participants who reported the highest libidos did exercise – they just didn’t thrash themselves day in, day out, with ball-busting HIIT workouts. Instead, they took it a bit easier, doing lower-intensity exercises like jogging.
