If Charlize Theron‘s role in ‘Monster‘ taught me anything, it’s that she’s a force to be reckoned with in the film industry.
No joke, I watched it over a decade ago and it still makes its way into dinner-table convos (if you haven’t seen it I order you to do so immediately) and any film graced with Theron’s presence is destined for greatness. Something tells me an actress like her wouldn’t sign on to a script willy nilly. She’s got a rep to uphold.
Theron’s latest film – ‘Atomic Blonde‘ – sees her take on the lead as an undercover MI6 agent dispatched to Berlin during the Cold War. With co-stars John Goodman and James McAvoy, an eight-minute-long fight scene, a hot-and-heavy romp with Sofia Boutella (‘Kingsman‘, ‘The Mummy‘), an 80s-rich soundtrack and what could be the greatest costume direction an action film’s even seen, the odds are in Theron’s favour for another blockbuster doozy.
