Harvey Weinstein Quietly Dropped By The Crisis PR Firm Representing Him

Disgraced Hollywood executive Harvey Weinstein has been dropped as a client by the crisis PR firm that had taken on the herculean task of massaging his public image.

Sitrick and Company to manage his PR in October after dozens of allegations of sexual misconduct by Weinstein were published in The New York Times and The New Yorker, but they have resigned from the position some time in “the past few days“, according to Deadline.

Michael Sitrick and staffer Holly Baird had been operating as Weinstein’s spokesperson to the media until Sitrick opted to resign. Sitrick confirmed to Deadline that they would no longer be going forward with Weinstein as a client, but would not comment any further on the issue.

Following the scandal, Weinstein was booted from The Weinstein Company, which has now gone into bankruptcy, but not before a number of alleged victims and witnesses were released from their non-disclosure agreements.
