When it comes to curbing emotional development in one’s formative years, Daddy Issues would have to rank highly on the Reasons I’m A Fuck Up scale, the effects of which are explored in this spoken word poetry slam meets gritty documentary short “DADDY ISSUES” by Sex Tape, the new side project from the directors of Youtube series Bondi Hipsters.
Having already skewered smoothie drinking Bondi pretentiousness and xenophobic London chavs, this time around they take aim at spoilt girls who blame their problems on their fathers (although let’s face it, the potential for suffering Daddy Issues does not discriminate between the genders, as manifested by every one of the Von Trapp children). We’ve all met her.
