If you thought Margot Robbie did a bang-up job of parodying Ivanka Trump on ‘SNL’, wait ’til you cop an eyeful of Scarlett Johansson in a fake commercial for a fragrance called ‘Complicit’.
Arguably the best political sketch of the episode’s lineup – which also included another hot take from Alec Baldwin – ScarJo took aim at the giant divide between the First Daughter’s claims of diehard feminism and her support of Trump’s decidedly anti-feminist views on the world.
“A woman like her deserves a fragrance all her own,” purrs a narrator as she walks into a party dressed as Ivanka. “A scent made just for her. Because she’s beautiful. She’s powerful. She’s complicit.”
The skewering continues as ScarJo swipes on lipstick in a mirror and sees Baldwin, dressed as the Prez, reflected back at her:
“A feminist, an advocate, a champion for women, but like how?”
And finally, the clincher:
“Complicit: The fragrance for the woman who could stop all of this but won’t.”
