Jimmy Fallon has just delivered his first monologue as the newly-installed host of The Tonight Show, in which he gave a shout out to his loving parents, “the most talented band ever”, The Roots, and you, the viewer.
“This is a moment in TV history right here and even if I weren’t involved, I would be so psyched to watch it,” said Fallon, who replaces long-term host Jay Leno and is expected to return the show to its Johnny Carson-era glory: “Anyone I can make fun of I will, my goal is to make you laugh and put a smile on your face so you go to sleep with a smile on your face and live a longer life.” No pressure, buddy; good luck.
