…in Rocketman, the upcoming feature biopic of beloved singer/songwriter and Earth’s finest rhinestone minstrel Sir Elton John.
Peter Schlessel, CEO of Focus Features, who are making the film, said “We are confident that Tom will embody the physicality and spirit of Sir Elton. This, in conjunction with the creative team led by Michael [Gracey, director] and Rocket Pictures, will provide the foundation for something that will be a unique cinematic event.” Elton John is on board as executive producer, and THR reports that he will “re-record many of his iconic hits to parallel the emotional beats of the film.” Hold me closer giant, ruggedly handsome, muscle-bound dancer.
