Last night the second episode of The Shire premiered on Channel Ten to an audience of just 754,000, down almost 200,000 viewers from the show’s almost universally despised debut.
That’s a significant drop in numbers. We can only assume that the reason so many people tuned in to the premiere episode was out of the perverse curiosity inspired by the grotesque preview footage and now, having maxed their douche quota, a huge chunk of those guys have moved on.
From here we’ll see whether or not the show picks up a dedicated audience of ‘Hate Watchers’ or if Ten is forced to do what you must do with any turd:
