Oh My God, Netflix Just Announced A ‘Princess Switch’ Sequel With A Third Vanessa Hudgens

The Princess Switch

YOU GUYS, I’M YELLING. The Princess Switch – the greatest / dumbest Christmas movie ever – is getting a sequel. It’s called The Princess Switch: Switched Again, and this has honestly made my day, week, month, year – everything.

SWITCHED AGAIN. What a name.

Netflix announced the news this morning complete with a spicy synopsis and mates, it sounds like a bloody doozy and a half.

“In the sequel, Duchess Margaret unexpectedly inherits the throne and hits a rough patch with Kevin so it’s up to Stacy to save the day before a new lookalike – party girl Fiona – foils their plan.”

Yes, you read that right. We’re copping a new lookalike. This is simply *kissy fingers*.

Production is set to begin next month in the U.K., with a planned 2020 release date.

Vanessa Hudgens will, of course, return to star. She’ll also executive produce the title.

In the meantime, Hudgens is currently gearing up for her latest holiday romcom, The Knight Before Christmas. This movie’s about a time-travelling English knight – an actual knight – who falls in love with a disillusioned but caring science teacher in present day. I’m getting Kate & Leopold vibes from this.

Josh Whitehouse of Poldark stars as the knight.

The Knight Before Christmas will premiere on Netflix, November 21.

In very important related news, the streaming giant recently dropped a little video showcasing what to expect this festive season. And yes, it includes snippets of The Knight Before Christmas, A Christmas Prince: The Royal Baby, and Let It Snow, which is based on a book co-written by John Green.
