Each successive trailer for Gareth Edwards highly-anticipated Godzilla remake has managed to build upon its predecessor to spectacular effect, due in part to a greater look at Bryan Cranston’s backstory, the impressive spectacle that results when you pit “the world’s most famous monster against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity’s scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence”, and the coquettish, strip-tease reveal of Toho’s iconic Godzilla. This ‘extended look’ trailer is no different.
Godzilla also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Ken Watanabe, Sally Hawkins, Juliette Binoche, and David Strathairn and opens May 16th.
