A reluctant congratulations goes out to the indie cross-cultural match made in heaven, Thomas Mars dreamy lead singer of band Phoenix and filmmaker Sofia Coppola who’ve decided to make it official by tying the knot. To honour Coppola’s Italian roots the couple are planning an intimate wedding to take place in the 19th Century Villa, Palazzo Margherita in Bernalda in Southern Italy that her father Francis Ford Coppola helped to restructure. Here’s to the happy couple making it paper official and cheers to all the devastated lady fans out there who are now one step further from ever having sex with Thomas. No talk yet of who might be designing the wedding gown, but we’re tipping Coppola’s close friend Marc Jacobs as the front runner.
