Please, I beg of you: take all of this with a grain of salt. “Sources” who refuse to use their name can’t be bloody trusted – if they could be, they’d happily put their name to it. Grain. Of. Salt.
Reports are surfacing that Kim Kardashian West is considering divorcing Kanye West.
Now, this seems immediately dismissable due to the cold hard fact that true love is forever, and it turns out that the source for this story is a ‘friend of the family’ who wished to remain anonymous.
We’re not sure why this shitfuck of a “friend” is blabbing to anyone who will listen about such sensitive topics (it’s money, right? Fuckbags.) but this is what they told US Weekly:
“It will take some time before she can do anything,” this absolute scumbag of a “friend” said yesterday. “But she doesn’t want to stay married.”“She cares about Kanye and feels relieved he’s getting the help he needs, but she’s felt trapped for a while.”
They also allege that Kim‘s currently trying to build a thorough case for full custody of their two children, North West and Saint West.
Righto. Both Kim and Kanye consistently and passionately publicly speak of their love for each other and their family, but oooookay.
The famous couple have obviously had an incredibly trying year. Since the release of ‘The Life of Pablo‘ essentially, there’s been reports of Kanye staying up all night, working on music and his fashion label literally 24 hours a day 7 days a week. He was reportedly behaving erratically, and doing weird shit like randomly throwing away all his furniture because he suddenly decided he hated all of it. (Again, none of this is confirmed.)
Then, the robbery happened. While in a private hotel room during Paris Fashion Week, Kim was held hostage under threat of her life by a group of men wielding guns. They tied her up in a bathroom, and robbed her of millions of dollars worth of jewellery and belongings. She was thankfully unhurt. Kanye, upon finding this information out mid-show, literally stopped mid-song, said ‘Show’s over, family emergency‘, and flew to be by Kim‘s side.
Only months later, Kanye’s behaviour became more and more erratic – he kept cancelling, ranting at his audiences for great chunks of time, and dropping the mic halfway through and walking off. Finally, it was announced that he’d been 5150’d, and was being kept by doctors in UCLA Medical Centre, as he’d had a psychotic episode caused by sleep deprivation, exhaustion and stress.
Kanye is now out of hospital after spending approximately 10 days with doctors. Conflicting reports have surfaced since, saying he and Kim are living apart and that she’s keeping the kids away from him, while others are reporting that she’s thankful to have him home and they’ve decided to take a relaxing vacation together.
The worst part about this kind of anonymous source’ tabloid reporting is that, even if the source knows that their statement is untrue or a stretch of truth – it’ll still be published. The guise of the ‘anonymous source’ can cover basically anything or anyone.
Look, we just hope that Kanye and Kim are getting as much rest and relaxation as they can so they can recuperate from a distressing, trying year as a family.
And if this story does end up being true, we wish them the best and hope they do what’s best for them. Because fun lil’ reminder: as human beings, it’s their lives and their choice.
