Imagine, if only for a second, that you are perfect. I know it’s hard, but try. Close your eyes.
Imagine a not inconsequential part of your job requires that you stand within arms reach of thousands of screaming strangers and acquiesce to having your picture taken repeatedly, knowing all the while that it’s not beyond the conceivable realm of possibility that one of these mouth breathers who collect #selfies for a living might be concealing a weapon on their person.
Imagine all the while that you are resplendent in finery and that you have six children.
Now, using the dark arts of empathy and imagination, you know something of what it must’ve been like for Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt to walk the red carpet in Sydney last night at the world premiere of Unbroken – Jolie’s sophomore directorial effort about the incredible true story of the late WWII prisoner of war, Louis Zamperini, filmed in New South Wales and Queensland exactly a year ago.
Now you also know what thinly-veiled fear looks like. It looks like Angelina Jolie in these photos.
It looks exquisite.
At least Brad had a great time.
Unbroken opens in Australian cinemas January 6th.
