Baron Cohen got fit for his role as secret agent Eli Cohen in the Netflix film The Spy, and his wife Isla Fisher – good for her, by the way – posted the video to celebrate his recent success.
She wrote:
“So proud of the Hubs getting a Golden Globe nomination for best actor in a limited series. He worked so hard transforming for his role in The Spy — not just getting rid of his dad-bod (see video) but learning three dialects, including Syrian, and living in Casablanca, mainly in character for 4 months while shooting. This honor is shared with Eli Cohen‘s family, thank you for letting him bring the story to screen and to the HFPA.”
The newly-buff Sacha Baron Cohen will next be seen in Aaron Sorkin‘s The Trial Of The Chicago 7, and is also attached to the comic book adaptation Mandrake The Magician.
