Ruby Rose & Taylor Swift have an unusual friendship, and by ‘unusual’ we mean that Ruby’s fans do not get it one little bit. Also, both of these gals are mega famous.
The pair only became friends this year (as far as the public knows, anyway), with Ruby joining the A-list ranks of T-Swift’s squad, which includes – but is not limited to – Karlie Kloss, Cara Delevingne, Lorde, Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Lily Aldridge and Blake Lively.
Since then, they’ve regularly had each other’s back: Taylor presented Ruby with her GLAAD Award this year, and Ruby was one of the first to T-Swift’s defence when that whole Kanye + Kim vs. Taylor shit went down.
However, their friendship appears to be the Real Deal, and not some conniving plan to move up in the fame game.
“I talk to her [Taylor] about everything and everyone,” she said.
Ruby also addressed that whole ridiculous ‘squad’ monicker, which became 2015’s most odious way to describe literally three or more people.
“I do think it’s funny, the whole ‘squad’ thing,” she said. “I don’t think Taylor ever called it that … I think the media ran with it because it sounds cool.”
We actually just had a chat to Ruby – who you’ll next see kickin’ butt opposite Vin Diesel in ‘XXX: Return Of Xander Cage’ on Jan 19, 2017 – about avoiding ‘threesome vibes’ with Jess and her twin sister Lisa while filming their new music video for ‘On Your Side‘.
