Oprah traveled to Barbados to interview the country’s favourite child Rihanna. In their candid discussion Rihanna spoke about how the 2009 assault by then-boyfriend Chris Brown effected her life, and her own perspective on the incident (“I lost my best friend”). It’s pretty devastating to watch her try to make sense of the assault and the subsequent media shit storm and ongoing public witch hunt for Chris Brown, through which she cries to history’s most tear-inducing talk show host. Poor RiRi.
