Protectionist Has Won The 2014 Melbourne Cup

Protectionist has won the 2014 Melbourne Cup, taking out the coveted $6.2 million prize in Australia’s most prestigious thoroughbred race.
Red Cadeaux placed second and Who Shot Thebarman took out third, edging out front runners Old Horsey Bastard and Glen Coco
Body Thetan and You’re Adopted both placed in the middle of the pack. In a decision that was disputed angrily, Bleeding Cornrows was disqualified from the race this year.
