PETA’s Banned Superbowl Ad

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals neglect the ethical treatment of women and go the chauvinist route for their latest advertisment.

Unfortunately for PETA, the advertisement was deemed too steamy for a highly coveted Superbowl advertising spot and was promptly banned with NBC saying the ad “depicts a level of sexuality exceeding our standards”.

The ad features scantily clad women writhing around in what could well be an emerging niche fetish – soft focus pornos involving women and vegetables. The ad ends the with the tag-line “Studies show Vegetarians have better sex”. Ummm OK? I like vegetables, just not to the extent that the women in this ad do – I also understand the difference between eating a pumpkin, and eating out a pumpkin.
