If you derive sadistic glee from watching soon-to-be-ex-couples bicker over burnt pork belly, under-caramelised scallops and soggy panna cotta, no show in the world does it better than My Kitchen Rules.
Earlier today, Seven shared a first look at the new season, which airs in the new year, and it has everything you could possibly want out of MKR.
– Pete Evans and Manu Feildel sporting haircuts and blazers that your nanna would describe as “very smart”? Check.– Mean-looking yuppie couple who are already shaping up to be this season’s villains? Check.– Super-relatable, all-Australian dad who calls his meal “the duck’s nuts?” Check.– Boofy blokes who will ‘shockingly’ turn out to be amazing in the kitchen? Check.– Italian cooks that the show has just straight-up chosen to refer to as ‘The Italianos‘? Check.– Sauce? Sauce …? Hang on, WHERE’S THE BLOODY SAUCE?

Four rounds of instant restaurants just wasn’t enough last time, so hopefully with this extra judge tagging along, the show can bump that number up to five, six or infinity.
