The First Peek Of A New MAFS Bride Has Landed & She’s In A Goddamn Hardcore Band From Perth

MAFS 2021 bride booka nile hardcore band

We’ve been given our first little taste, a mere morsel of what’s in store for the next season of Married At First Sight, and it’s got the potential to be metal as fuck thanks to Booka Nile, a MAFS brides who literally in a hardcore band from Perth. Fingers crossed this means we’re in for some good viewing (and maybe a solid soundtrack, too).

The first glimpse of MAFS season 8 (!!!) was revealed by Channel Nine in its sneak-peek showreel for everything coming to the network in 2021. In it, we’re kinda-introduced to Booka, a new MAFS bride and the vocalist and keyboardist for Aussie metalcore band, Make Them Suffer.

Like, I’m not even kidding, this is her.

Yes, okay MAFS, you finally have my attention.

Here’s the showreel that Channel 9 threw up last night, see if you can spot her.

(She’s the one doing the classic slow-mo entrance down the steps, by the way.)

Later on in the showreel, we see another unnamed bride (a brunette with curly hair) and a flash of three husbands – two of which look like the exact same man. What a fucking surprise.

Between the two Same Man husbands, it’s looking like we’ve gotten a little glimpse of the MAFS husband Booka ends up with – if pap shots in the Daily Mail are to be believed. A dark-haired, moustache-clad fella in a red velvet jacket. Looking good, champion.

As for Booka, not only is she a keyboardist and vocalist in a hardcore band, but she’s also the guitarist and vocalist in the indie-pop band, Internet Friends.

She’s also half of the team behind Sonic Minds – a mental health project that helps people to engage with and explore their feelings and emotions through creating music – which she co-founded during 2020’s isolation with Good Doogs vocalist, Asher Iriks. Make of that what you will.

Booka Nile has also been upfront about her own mental health as a musician through videos on her YouTube channel, which she was uploading to until about six months ago.

Oh, and she did this ‘Tour Beauty Hacks’ video while on tour with Make Them Suffer in 2019.

Okay, I love her now.

Married At First Sight season 8 is set to land on Channel 9 sometime in 2021. We’ll let you know when the premiere date is announced.
