In news to file under ‘Excellent Ideas’, sub-category ‘What The Fuck Can Possibly Go Wrong’, Lindsay Lohan‘s parents have come together for the sake of milking a little more $$$ out of their family situation, and will appear on a reality show together.
Dina Lohan and ex-husband Michael Lohan have signed on to appear in a new reality series on America’s VH1 network, called Family Therapy With Dr Jenn, in which they will undergo three weeks of intensive attention-seeking therapy.
The couple, who married in 1985 and have four children together, had an acrimonious split in 2005, with Dina accusing Michael of abuse and philandering, and also of being responsible for Lindsay’s substance abuse problems.
Michael was imprisoned for insider trading in the early 90s, and again in 2005 for charges relating to assault and driving under the influence. He has remained out of jail since 2007.
He was the subject of Lindsay’s song ‘Confessions Of A Broken Heart’, and appeared in her short-lived, Oprah Winfrey-produced reality series last year, which made for a number of fairly harrowing parent-child exchanges like the below:
