Sony Pictures has admitted it retouched a press image of Leonardo DiCaprio and Brad Pitt in their upcoming flick Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, despite neither actor requesting any Photoshop magic be cast over the shot.

Page Six reports the film studio accidentally sent out an image file to the press which showed all of the edits made to the original photo. Notably, it showed an area of DiCaprio’s chin was altered, and wrinkles on Pitt’s neck were removed.

Speaking to the gossip-mongering publication, a spokesperson from the Sony Pictures camp confirmed neither DiCaprio not Pitt asked for Photoshop wizards to meddle with the photo.

“We take full responsibility for the error,” the spokesperson said.

The studio has reportedly altered public copies of the image file so that the edits can no longer be seen.

The image, which shows DiCaprio in character as Western actor Richard Dalton, and Pitt as Dalton’s stunt double Cliff Booth, sparked some serious interest in Quentin Tarantino‘s upcoming flick on the Manson Family murders – not least from PEDESTRIAN.TV itself.

Once Upon A Time In Hollywood, which also stars Margot Robbie, will debut in July next year.
