Leaks From The Next ‘Bond’ Film Say 007 Is Gonna Be A Married Man

After the world finally received confirmation last month that Daniel Craig is going to once again put on the suit for one last go around as James Bond, speculation immediately moved to what the next film, currently with the working title Bond 25, might involve.

According to sources speaking to Page Six, it seems as though Bond might move into rare territory and give up the single-and-fucking-every-woman-he-sees-life in order to become a married man. This has happened only once before, in the 1969 (nice) film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service, which saw George Lazenby‘s Bond married, only to have his wife murdered. How lovely.

At the end of Craig’s last Bond film Spectre, Bond’s love interest at the end was Dr. Madeleine Swann, played by French actress Lea Seydoux.

Sources reckon the next film will open with the two in happy matrimony, but obviously we can’t have a movie with Bond happy and committed to (and sleeping with only) one woman, so Swann is subsequently murdered, which sends Bond off back to the service to get revenge for her death.

Heaven forbid male characters can be motivated by something other than the death of a woman, but that’s an argument for another day.

A source says the movie is like Taken but with Bond, which is sure to excite some people. The new film will be penned by Robert Wade and Neal Purvis, who have thus far written all of Daniel Craig’s Bond films, and it will be interesting to see if the leaks will force any changes.

You’ll find out when the movie is released in November 2019.
