Controversial filmmaker Lars Von Trier is back with his new film, Melonchalia.
Juxtaposing a family wedding with some rogue planet looking to eclipse ours, the film has already been jokingly called the ‘indie Michael Bay movie’ by industry insiders. But if von Trier’s past record is anything to go by, it’s not going to end well for any of the characters.
The cast includes some of the best in the business, with the sisters played by Kirsten Dunst and Charlotte Gainsbourg. Support comes from 24‘s Kiefer Sutherland, Charlotte Rampling, John Hurt and Alexander and Stellan Skarsgård, the former of whom famously killed Lady GaGa in her ‘Paparazzi’ video.
