Ksubi Founder Teams Up With will.i.am For New Eyewear Line

George Gorrow, one of the founders of beloved Aussie streetwear brand Ksubi, has partnered up with musical omnivore and fashion-forward individual will.i.am to create a brand new line of eyewear, ill.i Optics

The collection, which launched today, is inspired by ’80s hip hop style and key moments from will’s own early career, and it’s fair to say the end result is a bold statement for your ocular region.
To accompany the launch, the pair released a short film, shot inside will.i.am’s LA studio, showcasing his inner sanctum and his frankly ridiculous collection of vintage frames.

“The collections are a marriage of early hip hop and contemporary progressive influences. Rooted in popular culture, ill.i is both unique and unexpected with a forward thinking and unconventional approach. All frames are hand-made in Italy with leading industry craftsmanship and innovative techniques, however, ill.i aims to inspire by pushing boundaries of traditional eyewear with avant-garde and unorthodox approaches.”
