In a big bloody yikes, Kim Kardashian West has accused Taylor Swift of reigniting an “old exchange”, after the full version of their infamous 2016 phone call leaked online over the weekend.
In a tweet tagging Taylor, Kim wrote: “@taylorswift13 has chosen to reignite an old exchange – that at this point in time feels very self-serving given the suffering millions of real victims are facing right now.”

Let it be known that this morning, Taylor publicly responded to the development on Instagram. She did call the Wests out for what they did, but she also rose above the shitshow and used her large presence to encourage donations to Feeding America and the WHO amid the pandemic.
Once again, to recap: Back in 2016, Kanye West unleashed the song Famous, which contained the lines: “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex / I made that bitch famous.” According to the Wests, Taylor agreed to the lyrics in a phone call. But when the song came out, Taylor said she never consented to the use of “bitch” in the song. Then, Kim shared a snippet of the phone call on Snapchat, which seemingly showed Taylor agreeing to it all. Everyone shat on Taylor, the snake emoji thing started, Taylor disappeared for a year, and Reputation was born. Over the weekend, four years later, the full, unedited version of the phone call leaked online proving Taylor’s side of the story. Turns out, Kanye never told her about the explicit use of “bitch”.
Swifties felt vindicated.
In a series of tweets, Kim continued that she’s only publicly addressing the full version of the call now because Taylor “continues to speak on it.”
“I feel like I’m left without a choice but to respond because she is actually lying,” Kim tweeted. She also said the only real issue that she had with the situation was “that Taylor lied through her publicist who stated that ‘Kanye never called to ask for permission…’ They clearly spoke so I let you all see that. Nobody ever denied the word ‘bitch’ was used without her permission.” Keep this in the back of your mind.
To be clear, the only issue I ever had around the situation was that Taylor lied through her publicist who stated that “Kanye never called to ask for permission…” They clearly spoke so I let you all see that. Nobody ever denied the word “bitch” was used without her permission.

At the time when they spoke the song had not been fully written yet, but as everyone can see in the video, she manipulated the truth of their actual conversation in her statement when her team said she

“declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message.”
The lie was never about the word bitch, It was always whether there was a call or not and the tone of the conversation.

I never edited the footage (another lie) – I only posted a few clips on Snapchat to make my point and the full video that recently leaked doesn’t change the narrative.

To add, Kanye as an artist has every right to document his musical journey and process, just like she recently did through her documentary.

Kanye has documented the making of all of his albums for his personal archive, however has never released any of it for public consumption & the call between the two of them would have remained private or would have gone in the trash had she not lied & forced me to defend him.

This will be the last time I speak on this because honestly, nobody cares.
Sorry to bore you all with this. I know you are all dealing with more serious and important matters.

And that was that – OH, but wait, there’s MORE, because Taylor’s publicist just tweeted the “UNEDITED original statement”.
I’m Taylor’s publicist and this is my UNEDITED original statement. Btw, when you take parts out, that’s editing.
P.S. who did you guys piss off to leak that video? 😂😂😂 https://t.co/AtMGUp3t24 pic.twitter.com/EjGDwAdL6O
