Anna Kendrick and Aubrey Plaza, generally two of our favourite people, have teamed up with Zac Efron and Adam Devine, two other people we quite like, for a new comedy that looks … well, let’s just say it has some of our favourite people in it.
Mike And Dave Need Wedding Dates is the story of two bro’d out guys who make a televised plea for dates to their sister’s nuptials, and meet two girls who want to scam them for a free trip to Hawaii. Slow-motion beach walks, porn and gnarly quad bike accidents ensue.
Look, who even knows if the trailer is representative of the final product? For all we know, this could turn out to be a low-key, mumblecore drama with a stirring monologue from Anna Kendrick in the final act, or it might turn out to be hilarious. Who can say?
