Jerry Seinfeld And Larry David Are Working Together Again

Guys, stop the boring, inconsequential shit you’re doing right now because Jerry Seinfeld took a break from taking his professionally hilarious friends out for coffee dates and counting his money on a private island somewhere to explain what the deal with everything is, taking part – at the behest of Louis C.K. no less – in an insightful, fan service-y and deeply intriguing Ask Me Anything session on Reddit last night, generously unpacking, dissecting and discussing his showbiz past, present and future. And what a prettay, prettay, prettay, future it could be.

Apparently he has reunited with his former writing partner, Seinfeld co-creator and guy never not curbing his enthusiasm for things, Larry David, forming like the functional velcro clasps of a male brassiere for a “big, huge, gigantic” project that either skewers or features “intentional mumbling”. OK we’ve heard enough. We’re in.

Here’s the quote.

What is the most mundane thing you and Larry have obsessed over?We never obsess over anything that isn’t mundane. Most recent was intentional mumbling. We wrote this script for this thing that you will eventually see but I can’t reveal what it is at this time. All I can do is tell you is that it’s big, huge, gigantic. Even bigger than that Amazon package.”

Read the full AMA here for a litany of insights including the comedian’s thoughts on a modern day version of Seinfeld (“The character would have gotten married and started families, I suppose”), playing straight (“I didn’t care who was funny as long as somebody was funny and that the show was funny”), and constantly cracking up in front of Kramer actor Michael Richards.

‘Tis a Festivus miracle.
