Disney, clearly unstoppable in their task to create an almighty Netflix-destroyer, are reportedly developing a spin-off series about Hawkeye.

Sources tell Variety that the series will follow Clint Barton AKA Hawkeye AKA Jeremy Renner as he passes the torch to Kate Bishop. In Marvel Comics, Bishop is Hawkeye’s counterpart in the Young Avengers.

The Young Avengers also include members Iron Clad, Hulking, Patriot, and Cassandra Lang (Ant-Man‘s daughter).

This is just the latest Marvel-Disney news to come out of the woodwork. Last week, it was announced Marvel would be filming a new movie in Sydney later this year.

Though the title’s yet to be officially named, sources say the flick will be Shang-Chi, Marvel’s first-ever Asian lead.

Shang-Chi will be directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Short Term 12, The Glass Castle, The Shack) and screenwriter David Callaham (Wonder Woman 1984) will pen the script. According to The Hollywood ReporterMarvel is bringing together a mostly Asian-American and Asian cast.

Marvel Studios vice president David Grant said they are “thrilled to be returning to Australia to work with the talented and highly skilled Australian crew, stunt performers and actors.”

Oh, and that lil’ project by the name of Avengers: Endgame is awfully close to being released. On April 24, fans will watch their favourite Avengers reunite to get that “son of a bitch” Thanos after he destroyed our hearts in Avengers: Infinity War.

The stars of the film, who are currently on the press tour, sat at one particular conference with a row of empty seats behind them to honour their fallen friends.
