The second trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past has reared its mutant head. Helmed by returning director Bryan Singer, Days of Future Past defies characterisation as either prequel or sequel, combining the casts of the X-Men and First Class franchises for a synopsis that sees Wolverine’s (Hugh Jackman) consciousness sent back to 1973 to help Professor X (James McAvoy), Magneto (Michael Fassbender), and the rest of the First Class crew stop Bolivar Trask (Peter Dinklage) and his army of face-melting Sentinels who threaten the extinction of the mutants. Cool story!
Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Jennifer Lawrence, Halle Berry, Nicholas Hoult, and Ellen Page round out an incredibly stacked all-star cast slated to bow on May 23rd.
