Because the world is an irredeemably creepy and terrible place full of irredeemably creepy and terrible people, someone has gone ahead and leaked what appears to be a series of nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence.
The images, which surfaced online overnight, would seem to be part of a massive celebrity hacking campaign, in which the likes of Ariana Grande, Krysten RItter and Kirsten Dunst were also targeted.
A representative for Lawrence spoke to gossip monsters TMZ, saying: “This is a flagrant violation of privacy. The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence.”
It is believed that the photos leaked due to an iCloud vulnerability, that allowed access to celebrities’ phones. The individual behind the leak has reportedly claimed to have dozens more photos of the Hunger Games actress.
Scott Pilgrim star Mary Elizabeth Winstead, who was also affected, has made a statement following the leak. “Knowing those photos were deleted long ago, I can only imagine the creepy effort that went into this. Feeling for everyone who got hacked.”
“To those of you looking at photos I took with my husband years ago in the privacy of our home, hope you feel great about yourselves,” she continued, summing up the situation pretty much perfectly.
UPDATE: The shitstain who leaked the photos of Jennifer Lawrence is also claiming to have an explicit video of her, and is asking to be paid in Bitcoin for its release. We know we don’t have to ask, but please don’t validate this nonsense. You’re better than fapping to J-Law’s stolen, private pictures and videos.
