Living treasure Isla Fisher has just one small request for you – she would really like it if you would stop confusing her with Amy Adams. Amy Adams is great and all, she’s an acclaimed actress and a delight, but she’s not Isla Fisher, and the two of them have been getting mixed up for long enough.
During a recent appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live, Fisher explained her struggle, saying that it’s not just normies who confuse her with the similar-looking Adams, but actual, important Hollywood people well, making for very uncomfortable encounters.
For instance, Fisher was at the Vanity Fair Oscar party the year that Silver Linings Playbook came out, when none other than Lady Gaga appeared to congratulate her on her excellent performance. That’s basically just the tip of the iceberg.

Earlier this year, Fisher took a swipe at US president Donald Trump when she was accepting a trophy at the AACTA awards, saying that she is grateful to him for “showing the world that unqualified orange people can win things.”
