Here’s What The Letter Arya Found On Tonight’s ‘Game Of Thrones’ Says

WARNING: This article spoils things from ‘Eastwatch’, so if you haven’t seen the episode, halt now before it’s too late.

In a show packed with huge moments, immense battle scenes, and so many moving parts, it can sometimes be easy for important moments to be overlooked. Moments that might be the very beginning of something that will eventually be a huge. fucking. deal.

Did the latest episode ‘Eastwatch‘, contain one of these moments? Perhaps. In among 71-minutes of classic GoT action was a moment that was seemingly brought about by Littlefinger, who might be out to cause a big rift between Sansa and Arya. He’s a messy bitch who loves drama.

The ep saw Arya trailing Littlefinger back to his room, where she subsequently found and read a letter hidden in his mattress, complete with a Baratheon seal and Sansa’s signature.

The audience wasn’t shown the entire thing, but it was enough to lead fans to believe it was the same letter we saw Sansa write under duress (from Cersei), to her brother Robb, wayyy back in Season 1. An incident that Littlefinger happened to be in the room for. Talk about an impressive callback.

If this is in fact the case, the full text of the letter Arya copped was this.

Robb, I write to you with a heavy heart. Our good king Robert is dead, killed from wounds he took in a boar hunt. Father has been charged with treason. He conspired with Robert’s brothers against my beloved Joffrey and tried to steal his throne. The Lannisters are treating me very well and provide me with every comfort. I beg you: come to King’s Landing, swear fealty to King Joffrey and prevent any strife between the great houses of Lannister and Stark.

Shiiiiiit.

Of course, the audience knows the backstory and all the reasons Sansa wrote the letter back then, but Arya (who is already a tad suss on Sansa) definitely does not. And if she isn’t able to figure it out, Littlefinger might get his wish, and we might just see some immense fallout between the Stark sisters.
