Here Are All The Winners From The SAG Awards

While you were ‘Strayan, the Screen Actors Guild Awards were handed out in painfully slow increments that see us crawl closer still to next month’s awards season zenith, the Academy Awards.

All your favourite films/movies/actors were there, wearing finery and winning awards for their achievements in the field of screen acting. Victory was accorded to all the usual suspects; imminent streaming service Netflix in particular won big in three of their five nominated categories, including deserved accolades for Best Comedy Ensemble OITNB’s equal parts heart-wrenching and charming Uzo Aduba and House of Cards’ terrifyingly brilliant machiavellian sadist, Kevin Spacey.

If winners in the evening’s film categories are any indication – and they often are – then Oscars are looking more and more likely for Richard Linklater’s Boyhood and Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Birdman.

The Oscars take place just under a month from now on February 22nd. It’s the most wonderful time of the year.
