Gwyneth Paltrow is a busy woman, what what her sex dust smoothies and her commitment to spruiking the benefits of a good vaginal steaming. She does not have the time to learn the names of everyone in every movie, even if she happens to be IN said movie, because she’s an ethereal being who is far above that earthly nonsense.
Recently, it emerged that Gwyneth had no goddamn idea she was actually in Spider-Man: Homecoming, and she had to be reminded of this fact by co-star Jon Favreau. Today, we learned that she does not know who Sebstian Stan is, even though they’ve met several times and were in two Avengers films together.
This all came to light when Stan posted a spectacularly snarky photo on Instagram, showing him with designers Pierpaolo Piccioli and Valentino at a couture show in France. Gwyn was also there, but apparently didn’t give him the warmest welcome. “Glad I got to reintroduce myself to Gwyneth Paltrow for the third time,” he wrote. “We are in the same film …”
A few month back, an Instagram Live video surfaced of Gwyn asking Chris Pratt “who’s that?” when faced with Sebastian Stan at an event. Pratt explains that he plays Bucky, aka the Winter Soldier, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Her response? “Oh … okay.”

This could be some kind of fun in-joke between co-stars. Likewise, Gwyneth Paltrow might legitimately have no idea that they were in two films together and have literally stood next to each-other at events. Gaze upon her serene, unknowable smile and try to figure it out.
