A huge new profile on Kit Harington, the brooding + permanently frostbitten ‘Game of Thrones‘ hero Jon Snow, reveals two very important things about his person.
The first is that he’s the person in the group copping a constant ribbing from everybody else. The person who lovingly has the piss taken out of him, but in an affectionate way, y’know? That’s Kit.
The second – and it’s related to the first – is that Jon Snow’s corpse was given a tiny todger as punishment for the crime of Kit Harington.
Basically, as the profile covered, Harington’s managed to rise as one of the stars of one of the biggest shows in history (he’s rumoured to be on a $1.4 million per episode contract) without accidentally becoming an asshole.
He’s also a babe – and the other stars aren’t mad at all.
“There’s a change in the level of female lust in the room when Kit is there, which all the males find annoying and disrespectful,” said Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who plays Jaime Lannister.
“There’s a consistent drumbeat of taking the piss out of his incredible hair and startling good looks,” said Emilia Clarke, who plays Daenerys Targaryen. “His hair just takes over everything. My ridiculous handcrafted wig doesn’t come close to standing up to his man bun.”
“His hair has its own trailer,” said Liam Cunningham, who plays Davos Seaworth.
Which all culminated in showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff giving Jon Snow a teeny tiny willy.
After seeing the corpse, one of the characters riffs, “What kind of god would have a pecker that small?”
Well, here’s the explanation.
“There has to be some downside to being Kit Harington, right?” said both Weiss and Benioff (they answer via email as one). “It seems only fair. He’s handsome, talented, smart, and so decent to the core that it’s impossible not to like him. Maddening. The one thing we can do is saddle his character with a tiny pecker.”
Still. Could be worse.
