Former Glee star Mark Salling has been arrested on suspicion of possessing child pornography, after Los Angeles police served a search warrant on his home overnight.
Per NBC News reports, detectives from the LAPD’s Internet Crimes Against Children unit arrived at the 33-year-old actor’s home in the Sunland neighbourhood at around 7am local time.
He was subsequently taken to jail, and a booking sheet indicted that his bail amount was set at $US 20,000.
According to TMZ, police seized a number of electronic devices from the star’s home. It is believed that they received a tip-off relating to child exploitation material from an ex-girlfriend of Salling’s.
In 2013, Salling was sued for sexual battery by a woman who claimed that he forced sex on her without a condom. He denied the charge, counter-suing the woman for defamation, and the case was eventually settled.
His representatives have yet to comment on today’s arrest.
