Get ready to absolutely piss the bed over the first look at Sharp Objects, a new miniseries from the minds of UnREAL writer Marti Noxon, Get Out producer Jason Blum, and Big Little Lies director Jean-Marc Vallée, and adapted from the writing of Gone Girl‘s Gillian Flynn.
The HBO miniseries is a take on Flynn’s 2007 debut novel, which follows a journalist (Amy Adams) researching and reporting on the murders of two young girls in her small hometown, where it ends up that she also has to confront and deal with some of her own demons lying just below the surface. I can assure you that there’s plenty of twists and heart-pounding moments in this. If you’ve read the novel, you’ll know.
It’s being premiered in Austin, Texas in June and on HBO in July, so we’ll probably get it here…eventually?
Until then, check out the trailer below and change your underpants accordingly.
