The rapper is currently undergoing a very public divorce from estranged wife, Nicole Young.
Per court documents obtained by Entertainment Tonight, Young is seeking USD$1,936,399 (AUD$2.5 million) in monthly spousal support.
Dre, however, believes Young’s proposed sum is too excessive.
“I have made it very clear to her [Young] by my words and actions that I want our dissolution to be amicable and for her to feel comfortable and respected,” Dre said in a statement obtained by Entertainment Tonight.
Young filed for divorce in June of last year after 24 years of marriage. They share two children together: Truice, 24, and Truly, 20.
The rapper co-founded Beats Electronics in 2006.
