Chrissy Teigen Just Discovered Zane Alchin, Has Zero Time For That Shit

Yesterday, it was reported that Zane Alchin, the 25-year-old Sydney man who made sexually explicit and threatening comments to a woman on Facebook, was sentenced to a 12-month good behaviour bond in a short hearing at Newtown Local Court.
Alchin, who pleaded guilty to using a carriage service to menace, threaten or offend, directed numerous threats at 25-year-old Olivia Melville, a screenshot of whose Tinder profile had been posted to Facebook.
In his defence, Alchin’s solicitor Sophie Walsh said that he had consumed a large amount of alcohol at the time most of his comments were made (11.30am), and spoke about the effect of the high-profile case on his life, saying:
“The irony is that he has become a much greater victim than the crime he committed.”

The story of the case has since become international news, and late yesterday, straight-shooter and generally pretty excellent human being Chrissy Tiegen took note of it, and shared a few thoughts on her timeline.

After reading up on the case, Tiegen proposed setting up a troll farm to deal with the worst of the internet, which … sounds pretty draconian and may break a few conventions of international law, but we’ll hear her out.

In case you forgot how f’kn grim Alchin’s comments were, she shared screengrabs of a few of them:

She then had a few thoughts on how a troll farm might actually work in practice:

This is not the first time Chrissy Tiegen has spat pure fire on Twitter, and it doubtless won’t be the last.
